Franklin Night Out

Friends of Franklin is holding their annual community fundraiser, Franklin Night Out on March 2nd, 2019 and they need your help!

They are requesting a donation for our Live or Silent Auction.

As a neighborhood LAUSD school, the community must raise money for programs such as visual arts, music and orchestra, field trips, physical education, teaching assistants, and classroom computers and supplies. Without fundraising- these programs and items simply would not exist. They are asking for donations of gift cards/certificates, admission tickets, concert tickets, services, travel, adventures, products or anything else that you’d like to contribute to help them raise funds at their silent auction being held at LA River Studios in Los Angeles. They anticipate over 300 guests including parents of current and prospective students, neighbors, and other community members. This year they will also feature the donations online enabling them to easily reach beyond the local community to a much larger audience. You can make a difference in the children’s education and publicize your business to all families and friends! All donations are tax deductible.

Opportunities:

  • Donate silent auction items for exposure to attendees and online bidders alike
  • Attend
  • Volunteers and Designated Drivers attend at a discount
  • Shop for tickets, lessons, clothes, services + more!

Councilmember in your Corner – Echo Park

This month, Councilmember Mich O’Farrells Office focuses on Echo Park. They’ll be having a community clean up along Glendale Blvd, between Berkeley Ave and Aaron St, and some door to door outreach in the area west of Alvarado St.

They’ll also have a CD 13 pop-up office, so please make sure you stop by to say hello, and pick up some information about city services. Their counterparts from the LA Bureau of Sanitation will also be on hand to answer questions, as well as representatives from LAPD, and other community based organizations.

Plenty of street parking on Glendale Blvd, but carpooling and use of public transportation is also encouraged.
